Before we ever entered the Medicare and health insurance field, my mother became a victim of one of those call centers. During the Annual Enrollment Period, her Medicare plan was changed—without her fully understanding what had happened and without anyone in our family knowing.
We found out the hard way.
At a doctor’s appointment, she was told:
“We don’t take that plan.”
That year, my mother was in and out of the hospital multiple times.
